Dead Space is now alive on Deck

Wow. That didn't take very long.
In case you missed it, I published an article yesterday about the new Dead Space remaster and how it was not performing great on Deck. Well, there's a brand new fix out and it's fabulous.
Pierre-Loup Griffais posted on Twitter just a few hours ago that there's a new Proton Hotfix out that fixes the performance and crashing issues in Dead Space.
A Proton Hotfix update has just been pushed with a fix for the Dead Space map issue. It also addresses a minor performance issue where the game's usage of Variable-Rate Shading was being ignored. pic.twitter.com/pMhMUnpkW9

According to Pierre-Loup, the only thing you need to do is download the hotfix and the game should automatically start using the right version. If you have the game installed and you don't see the Proton Hotfix update in your downloads, then you may restart Steam (or your entire Deck).
I've tried this and it works great. Very pleased to see how well it works. And all that was needed was a 292 byte (yes, byte) update to Proton.
