Valve's no stranger to breaking records. If it's the number of total concurrent online users at 30,032,005 back in October '22, or Team Fortress 2 having a record-breaking number of concurrent players back in June 2021.

Well this weekend Valve broke TWO different records. First, was the number of total concurrent online users. They easily breached the 33 million mark.

And simultaneously, they broke the number of online users in-game at over 10 million players. This is a significant number since it's the first time the 10 million threshold has been surpassed.

The question is: what were folks playing? If you're familiar at all with the most played games on Steam, you won't be that surprised.

  • Counter-Stroke: Global Offensive
  • DOTA2
  • PUBG: Battlesgrounds
  • Apex Legends
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

And many more.
